Join a Federation Team!

Writer's picture: Wiltshire WIWiltshire WI

Have you ever considered sharing your talents with the Wiltshire Federation? WFWI is looking for members with an interest in events, craft, campaigns, social media, and membership promotion.

Alternatively, do you think you have skills that could assist the Federation function better? This happened to me a few years ago, when I noticed that there was no WFWI website, so I created one!

My digital skills have helped the Federation with teaching technology to assist individual WI officers get their Federation emails, creating YouTube videos to explain the WI structure, with FB social media posts, with monthly website blog posts providing access to information normally only sent to the WI Secretaries, and anything else digital that the WI office in Devizes needs assistance with!

I work full time (not for the WI), I am the President for Amesbury Evening WI, I sing in a number of choirs (yes, a crazy choir lady), I am a Trustee for WFWI (and my church PCC), plus I am a single mother of two adult children (who live in Manchester and Glasgow), and I have a very cute little dog who needs to go for walks. I can't do all the extras that I would love to do and my project oriented mind has some incredible ideas using technology to assist our WFWI members.

Are you the 'techie' person of your group? Perhaps you have skills/interest in taking digital photos of events and would be interested in writing a monthly blog for the WFWI members?

Perhaps, you are not keen on things digital but LOVE to craft (which I also do with used postage stamps). Then you would be perfect to join the Federation Craft and Leisure Team. Are you a planner and love to think up new things to do? Then perhaps assisting with the Events Team! What about the resolutions each year? Do you get passionate about the issues and wish the Federation would organise more events that focus on the vital resolutions that can change people's lives for the better, and save the environment?

Our Federation needs members like you to grow. You don't need to lead anything, but to have your say and activate your membership right by having an active role in your Federation.

Join one of the WFWI Teams and let your voice be heard. If you would like more information about the different Federation Teams, just send an email to Steffy Pawling (Federation Secretary) [email protected] and she will make sure you are put in contact with the right Team Leader.

May the New Year 2024 be all you wish for and more!

-Ruth Davies (WFWI Trustee and Digital Team Leader)
